Climate Pro® by Johns Manville is a type of spray or “blow-in” insulation. Traditionally, insulation is cut into presized sheets and applied to wall cavities. Climate Pro, however, uses small pieces of insulation to fill precovered wall and ceiling hollows. This cottonlike substance does not flatten over time and remains fluffy and substantial for a high-quality thermal seal. It is water, mold and fire resistant and formaldehyde-free, and it helps minimize sound transition. It is most often applied in sealed wall frames or attics. Because it can be blown into any space, this insulation spray is perfect for hard-to-reach areas.
This insulation is composed of loose fiberglass fragments and so should be contained behind a wall or plastic sheet or within an attic that is enclosed to prevent the fiberglass from spreading to other living areas of the home or building.
